Dr. King came to the conclusion that struggling for justice within a manipulable domestic legal system would continue to be in vain. A white majority would always dictate the rules since majority rules in democracy.

Dr. King saw an open door to justice via human rights that were not confined to local jurisdiction. In that same meeting King also stated that, “..we moved into a new era, which must be an era of revolution.”

He was speaking of the seizing of power which international human rights law states Afrodescendant (Black) people have a right to do according to the right of self-determination. Wherever they may live in the United States, Black people can unite and take independent political power free from any federal or state regulation.

Recently state legislators in Mississippi passed a bill that would put jurisdiction of the “Blackest city” in America into the hands of a few white state officials.
