The Human Rights Blueprint That Is Feared By America

The same human right that gave birth to the United States has now become its government’s worst nightmare according to published reports. That human right is the right of self-determination.

NPR and GBH news recently published articles acknowledging the fear that an independence movement within the United States “could serve as a blueprint” for the oppressed African Americans to follow. As early as approximately 100 years ago a United States Secretary of State expressed such fear. Woodrow Wilson’s Secretary of State Robert Lansing stated that self-determination was “loaded with dynamite” and “what misery it will cause!” the United States.

Whenever a government is in existence through conquering, enslaving and colonizing other people then it is principally illegitimate and under lawful threat of being dismantled should the violated people choose to assert their right of self-determination. The United States government matches such a description and is now facing what they feared in the form of a movement for Afrodescendants’ Independence.

Human Rights Policy Officers organization has been teaching the people of Detroit, Michigan about their right of self-determination and helping them to assert that right. The right of self-determination is the right of a people to take independent political control over where they live and govern themselves. The organization has suffered heavy political repression because of this right. The United States government has committed various crimes in order to stop the human rights officers which motivated them to unilaterally declare independence and establish the “Republic of Detroit”. The government has initiated an extensive campaign of defamation, wrongful arrests, police brutality and other violent measures to prevent the people of Detroit from being taught and organized to assert their right of self-determination. However government human rights violations are not stopping the will of the people and the movement has grown stronger.

To further weaken the government’s unlawful opposition, Human Rights Policy Officers have joined forces with the Eurasian Observatory for Democracy and Elections (EODE) which monitors elections and validates legitimate referendums for independence. Some have claimed that EODE is a Russian proxy as it monitored and validated the referendums in Crimea and the Donbass region of Ukraine. Bringing such validation and international support to a self-determination movement within the United States is surely a threat that United States officials should worry about.

Luc Michel and the Eurasian Observatory for Democracy and Elections (EODE) has become a worry the United States and its European allies as he promotes the anti-imperialist message and agenda globally.

“It is strange that the United States government would worry about its population peacefully trying to enjoy their human right of self-determination especially when the United States is a product of the assertion of such right,” says Human Rights Policy Officer Ramzu Yunus who, along with EODE head Luc Michel, is co-chairman of the North Atlantic Peace Organization.

Ramzu Yunus is seen here with Presidents Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, who were both critical of United States foreign policy and domestic human rights violations of Afrodescendants.

It has proven futile in the past for the United States government to unlawfully oppose a human right which birthed the nation. The independence movement is a blueprint that the United States helped draft and must now submit to its consequences.
